Are you a Homeowner, Landlord or Business?
Mortgage Lender or Insurance Company requested an Electrical Safety Report?
Are you looking to sell, buy or let a property?
Regular inspection and testing of electrical installations is necessary because over a period of time the condition of all installations will deteriorate to some extent.
This could be due to the age of the installation, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, corrosion, excessive loading, or even defective DIY work.
As may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent, as far as is reasonably practical such danger.
All electrical installations must be maintained in a safe condition and therefore regular inspection and testing (Periodic Inspection) is an essential part of a preventative maintenance programme.
There are many organizations including Mortgage Lenders, Insurance Companies, Landlords and Licensing Authorities who will request a Periodic Inspection Report.
Our Periodic Inspection Report (PIR) includes carrying out a range tests on the fixed wiring of your electrical installation(s).
It includes recording anything which will affect your safety against the dangers of an electric shock and burns and the protection of your property against damage by fire and heat arising from an installation defect.
Upon completion you will receive a comprehensive British Standard report which will establish the overall condition of your electrical installation and state whether it is in a ‘Satisfactory’ condition for its continued use.
Photographic evidence is included and the details of any remedial work that might need to be done. If the report recommends any improvements we will provide you with a written detailed quotation.
