Electric showers are a great way to start the day and they use far less water than taking a bath.
They must however be wired on their own radial circuit to the correct rating, have an isolation switch installed and be protected by a 30mA RCD for protection.
Electric showers can pose a serious risk if they installed incorrectly!
In a domestic property bathrooms are classed as a special location and therefore any new electric shower circuits require notification under Part P of the Building Regulations to the Local Authority Building Control for the work carried out.
Test It Electrical can install a new shower to the correct rating and offer advice on the size of shower you can install for the replacement of an existing one.

Note: The Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994 require landlords to ensure that their electrical installations and appliances are safe when a tenancy begins, and that it is maintained in a safe condition throughout that tenancy.
One way to ensuring safety is to undertake a regular formal inspection of the fixed wiring together with any supplied electrical appliances such as cookers, kettles, toasters, washing machines and immersion heaters etc.
